TERMS OF USE
Effective Date: September 24, 2026
Last Updated: September 24, 2026
1.Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CaseBound website and related services.
By accessing the website, submitting information, calling a telephone number associated with CaseBound, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the website or services.
2.About CaseBound
CaseBound, a Legal Marketing Arm company (“CaseBound”), provides legal marketing, advertising, client-acquisition, lead-generation, intake, and related services.
Our services may include:
- Performance marketing;
- Digital advertising;
- Search marketing;
- Qualified legal leads;
- Telephone inquiries and live transfers;
- Prospective-client intake;
- Signed-case or signed-retainer opportunities; and
- Other marketing and client-acquisition services.
CaseBound may own, operate, market, or manage websites and other digital properties designed to generate inquiries from individuals seeking legal services.
3.CaseBound Is Not a Law Firm
CaseBound is not a law firm.
CaseBound does not practice law, provide legal advice, establish legal strategy, determine legal rights, represent clients in legal proceedings, or make decisions requiring the professional judgment of an attorney.
Nothing on the CaseBound website should be interpreted as legal advice.
Information appearing on our website is provided for general informational and marketing purposes.
4.No Attorney-Client Relationship
Use of the CaseBound website or services does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and CaseBound.
Submitting a form, calling a telephone number, sending an email, communicating with an intake representative, or otherwise providing information does not automatically create an attorney-client relationship with any attorney or law firm.
An attorney-client relationship is formed only if and when an attorney or law firm expressly agrees to represent a prospective client.
5.No Guarantee of Representation
CaseBound does not guarantee that an attorney or law firm will accept any particular matter.
Participating attorneys and law firms independently determine whether to accept representation.
You remain responsible for protecting your own legal rights and complying with statutes of limitation, court deadlines, filing requirements, and other legal obligations.
Submitting information to CaseBound does not stop or extend any legal deadline.
6.Qualified Leads
CaseBound may use criteria to determine whether a prospective client's inquiry qualifies for introduction or delivery to a participating attorney or law firm.
These criteria may include factors such as practice area, geography, timing, nature of the legal matter, potential damages, procedural status, or other information.
A designation such as “qualified lead,” “qualified prospect,” “case opportunity,” or similar terminology is used for marketing and client-acquisition purposes.
It does not constitute a legal opinion regarding whether a claim is valid, whether liability exists, the potential value of a case, or whether the prospective client will ultimately obtain representation or recover compensation.
7.Calls and Live Transfers
CaseBound may generate telephone inquiries and facilitate live telephone transfers between prospective clients and participating law firms.
CaseBound does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information provided by a caller.
Participating law firms are responsible for conducting their own intake, conflict checks, due diligence, case evaluation, and legal analysis.
8.Signed Cases and Retainer Opportunities
CaseBound may provide participating law firms with prospective-client opportunities that have progressed to a stage at which a retainer or engagement agreement may be offered or executed.
A signed retainer or engagement agreement is solely between the client and the participating attorney or law firm identified in that agreement.
CaseBound does not become a party to the attorney-client relationship merely because CaseBound generated, qualified, routed, facilitated, or otherwise assisted in acquiring the prospective client.
CaseBound does not control an attorney's professional judgment or the subsequent handling of a legal matter.
9.Responsibilities of Participating Attorneys and Law Firms
Attorneys and law firms using CaseBound services are independently responsible for compliance with all laws, ethical rules, professional-responsibility requirements, advertising regulations, fee rules, conflict-of-interest requirements, and other obligations applicable to their practice.
CaseBound does not direct or control an attorney's professional judgment.
Each participating attorney or law firm is responsible for determining whether it may ethically and legally accept a prospective client or matter.
10.No Guarantee Regarding Legal Outcomes
CaseBound makes no representation or guarantee regarding:
- Whether an attorney will accept a matter;
- The strength or merits of a legal claim;
- The value of a case;
- The duration of legal proceedings;
- Settlement amounts;
- Court decisions;
- Legal fees;
- Results obtained by any attorney or law firm; or
- Any other legal outcome.
Past results obtained by an attorney or law firm do not guarantee future results.
11.Information Provided by Users
You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
CaseBound is not responsible for inaccuracies, omissions, misrepresentations, or incomplete information supplied by users, prospective clients, participating firms, or other third parties.
12.Communications Consent
By providing contact information, you authorize CaseBound and, where applicable, participating law firms, intake providers, or service providers to contact you regarding your inquiry.
Contact may occur by telephone, email, or text message, subject to applicable law.
Calls may be monitored or recorded where permitted by law.
Consent to marketing communications is not a condition of retaining an attorney or purchasing a service where applicable law prohibits such a condition.
13.No Confidentiality or Privilege Before Representation
Information submitted to CaseBound should not automatically be considered confidential or protected by attorney-client privilege.
CaseBound is not your attorney.
An attorney-client relationship must be separately established with a participating attorney or law firm.
Users should avoid providing information beyond what is reasonably necessary to evaluate an initial inquiry until they understand who will receive the information and whether representation has been established.
14.Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the CaseBound website and its contents—including branding, designs, graphics, text, software, layouts, logos, and other materials—are owned by CaseBound or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use the website for lawful personal or business purposes consistent with these Terms.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, scrape, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from protected CaseBound materials without authorization.
15.Prohibited Uses
You may not use the CaseBound website or services to:
- Violate applicable law;
- Submit fraudulent or intentionally misleading information;
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or information;
- Introduce malicious code;
- Scrape or systematically extract information without authorization;
- Impersonate another person or entity; or
- Use the services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
16.Third-Party Attorneys, Law Firms, Websites, and Services
CaseBound may connect users with independent attorneys or law firms and may link to third-party websites or services.
These third parties are independent from CaseBound.
CaseBound does not control and is not responsible for the legal services, professional judgment, conduct, privacy practices, website content, availability, fees, or performance of independent attorneys, law firms, or other third parties.
17.Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CASEBOUND WEBSITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
CASEBOUND DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR RESULTS.
CaseBound does not warrant that the website will operate without interruption or error or that information available through the website will always be complete, accurate, or current.
18.Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CASEBOUND AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE WEBSITE, SERVICES, LEADS, COMMUNICATIONS, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, OR ANY ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP RESULTING FROM AN INTRODUCTION FACILITATED THROUGH CASEBOUND.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
19.Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, users of CaseBound's commercial services agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CaseBound and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from misuse of the services, violation of these Terms, violation of applicable law, or infringement of third-party rights.
Nothing in this provision is intended to impose obligations on consumers that are prohibited by applicable law.
20.Availability and Modification of Services
CaseBound may modify, suspend, discontinue, add, or remove website features or services at any time.
We do not guarantee continuous availability of any website, marketing channel, lead source, geographic market, practice area, or client-acquisition service.
21.Privacy
Use of the CaseBound website and services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information may be collected, used, and disclosed.
22.Governing Law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute regarding these Terms will be subject to applicable law and any enforceable contractual dispute-resolution provisions separately agreed to by the relevant parties.
23.Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
24.Changes to These Terms
CaseBound may update these Terms periodically.
The “Last Updated” date will indicate the most recent revision.
Continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
